All ding ein weil.
Lang ist nicht ewig. Lang geborgt/ nit ge-
schenckt. Was heut wird/ muß morgen da-
ran. Nichts bestendiges oder newes ist auff
erden. Es lauft in eim rad und circel her
umb/ und bleibt nit in eim wesen stehn/ Was
heut steht/ ligt morgen/ heut lebendig/ mor-
gen todt. Alles zeitlichs hangt an eim zwirns
faden/ Wañ der spricht: Redde rationem &c.
so ists auß/ wir seind aber dieß kein augenblick
sicher.

Translation

Good things take time.
Long is not forever. A long loan is not a gift. What is today is gone tomorrow. Nothing on earth is permanent or new. Life is an eternal wheel that never stands still in its essence. What stands up today has fallen tomorrow. Alive today, dead tomorrow. Everything temporal hangs by a thread. When he [God] says: Go home to sanity and so on, then it's over. Beyond that, we are not sure for a moment.
